Wellness, Yoga, Zen, Holistic Healing, Mindfulness Meditation, Personal Retreats, Kirtan, Forest Bathing, and More
The GRC is booking group and personal retreats. Please contact 352-316-6696 or email gainesvilleretreat@gmail.com for more information.
We are located just ten minutes from the University of Florida, on over 140 acres of secluded forest conservation land.
All are welcome, but please make reservations in advance by calling 352-213-2221 or emailing GainesvilleRetreat@gmail.com. Guided hikes and meditation instruction available upon request.
The Gainesville Retreat Center is managed by a non-profit corporation which also manages the property as a wildlife refuge. All donations will go to the non-profit corporation.
Please register for teacher-led retreats as soon as you can before the space is filled!
We are a community retreat center. We also use the dana basket system to allow for our retreat participants to practice the paramita of giving, or generosity, by donating any additional funds they can, as the GRC relies on your donations to keep rates low and thus truly serve the kindred community. We also encourage participants to feel at home and contribute to the basic cleanliness and neatness of the center and living spaces during their stay.
Feel free to reach out with any questions or inquiries you might have. We look forward to welcoming you soon.
Please call or email to set up an appointment.
During this time of COVID-19, grounding and self-care are of prime importance, and will enable us to better serve others. This is also a time to connect with each other in mutual support to more deeply explore our practice, to come home to our natural states of compassion, equanimity, generosity, open-heartedness, and wisdom. Many friends are graciously providing free online yoga, meditation, and much more. Here is a list of some of these offerings from our local Gainesville, Florida community of teachers and practitioners, and beyond! Please contact gainesvilleretreat@gmail.com if you would like to be added to this list. We will send updates regularly, and keep everything posted on the bottom half of the home page at www.GainesvilleRetreatCenter.com.
We invite you to connect with yourself through ecstatic dance, breathwork, meditation, yoga, stretching, self-massage, dreamwork, art, topic discussion, writing shares, and so much more free of charge. https://www.facebook.com/groups/virtualwellnesscollective/
